Social worker (Pracownik socjalny)
Regulator: Ministerstwo Rodziny, Pracy i Polityki Społecznej (occupation regulated under the Act on Social Assistance / Ustawa o pomocy społecznej); Centralna Komisja Egzaminacyjna do spraw stopni specjalizacji zawodowej pracowników socjalnych oversees voluntary professional specialization
CPDRegulated occupation, but NO fixed mandatory CPD hour/cycle quota. To hold the title of pracownik socjalny a person must meet the education qualifications set by the Act on Social Assistance (Ustawa o pomocy społecznej) – e.g. a social-work diploma or an approved degree in a related field. Social workers have a general statutory DUTY to raise their professional qualifications, including through training and self-education (art. 119 ustawy o pomocy społecznej), and employers are obliged to facilitate this, but the law fixes no defined number of continuing-education hours, no renewal cycle, and there is no individual practising licence or registration to maintain. Voluntary career-advancement specialization exists (1st- and 2nd-degree specialization in the profession, specjalizacja w zawodzie pracownik socjalny) under the 2012 regulation, involving prescribed training hours and a state exam, but it is optional and not a recurring CPD requirement. Superwizja pracy socjalnej (professional supervision) is available as a support/quality mechanism, not an hours-based CPD mandate. So no total_hours or cycle can be stated.
No specific live / interactive hour requirement

Board notes: Legal basis: Ustawa z dnia 12 marca 2004 r. o pomocy społecznej (duty to raise qualifications, art. 119; superwizja). Qualification requirements consolidated in Obwieszczenie Min. Rodziny, Pracy i Polityki Społecznej, Dz.U. 2024 poz. 21. Voluntary specialization governed by Rozporządzenie Min. Pracy i Polityki Społecznej z 17 kwietnia 2012 r. w sprawie specjalizacji w zawodzie pracownik socjalny (Dz.U. 2012 poz. 486, tekst jednolity) – 1st degree focuses on practical skills, 2nd degree on specialised problem areas, each with defined minimum training hours and a central exam; not required to keep practising. No professional chamber/self-government and no per-cycle CPD point system for social workers as of July 2026.

Poland

Counselor (no regulated/licensed counseling profession)
Regulator: None (not a state-regulated or licensed profession in Poland)
CPDNOT REGULATED. Poland has no licensed generic 'counselor' mental-health profession and therefore no statutory CPD requirement. Psychological counselling is delivered by psychologists (see the Psychology record) or by psychotherapists. Psychotherapy is itself not among the five license groups here and, as of July 2026, is largely governed by private training-society certification standards and by public-payer (NFZ) staffing rules rather than a dedicated individual statutory licence with a mandated CPD quota (a separate psychotherapy-profession bill has been discussed but is not an in-force licensing/CPD scheme). Career counselling (doradca zawodowy) exists as an occupation but is not a mental/behavioral-health licence and carries no statutory CPD hours.
No specific live / interactive hour requirement

Board notes: No regulator, no licence, no CPD framework. Included only to record that the Counseling group has no regulated Polish equivalent.

Poland

Psychologist (Psycholog) – prawo wykonywania zawodu psychologa
Regulator: Samorząd zawodowy psychologów – Krajowa Izba Psychologów and regional chambers (regionalne izby), with the Krajowa Rada as executive; state supervision by the minister responsible for labour (Ministerstwo Rodziny, Pracy i Polityki Społecznej)
CPDMAJOR 2026 REFORM, BUT NOT YET OPERATIONAL. Poland's psychologist profession was historically dormant: the Act of 8 June 2001 on the Profession of Psychologist and the Professional Self-Government of Psychologists formally came into force in 2006 but its self-government/Chamber was never actually established and no functioning licence or CPD requirement ever operated. On 23 January 2026 a wholly new Act on the Profession of Psychologist and the Professional Self-Government of Psychologists was adopted (Dz.U. 2026 poz. 187, promulgated 18 Feb 2026), which repeals the 2001 act and creates: a protected right to practise (prawo wykonywania zawodu), a national Register, a real self-government (Krajowa Izba Psychologów + regional chambers), and a mandatory continuing professional development duty ('ustawiczny rozwój zawodowy', Art. 29) realised over rolling 5-year settlement periods called 'education periods' (okresy edukacyjne) and measured in educational points (punkty edukacyjne). CRITICALLY, as of July 2026 this is transitional and not yet in effect in practice: under Art. 161 the main provisions (licensing, the practice register, and the CPD obligation) enter into force only on 19 May 2028 (2 years 3 months after promulgation); only the provisions organising the first National Congress and setting up the self-government took effect 5 March 2026, and the old 2001 act stays in force until 19 May 2028. The actual number of educational points required and the accepted CPD forms are to be fixed later by the Krajowa Rada (Art. 29 sec. 9) and have not been set. Therefore no enforceable hour/point CPD quota and no functioning individual licence yet exist as of July 2026; total_hours is null pending the self-government's implementing resolutions.
No specific live / interactive hour requirement

Board notes: New Act Dz.U. 2026 poz. 187 (Ustawa z dnia 23 stycznia 2026 r. o zawodzie psychologa oraz samorządzie zawodowym psychologów), Sejm term 10 print 1344. Staggered entry into force (Art. 161): art. 139 and 151-159 on 5 Mar 2026 (organising committee/first National Congress); art. 145 on 19 Feb 2027; main body incl. licensing + CPD on 19 May 2028; art. 17 sec. 3 on 19 May 2031. CPD framework (Art. 29): duty of continuous professional development via postgraduate education (kształcenie podyplomowe) or professional development (doskonalenie zawodowe) organised/coordinated by the self-government; documented in a professional-development card (karta rozwoju zawodowego) held by the regional council; 5-year 'education period' begins 1 Jan of the year after the psychologist completes the supervised entry period or resumes practice; within 30 days of period end the psychologist submits confirming documents; the Krajowa Rada sets the number of educational points per activity and the total points needed (not yet issued). Psychologists who suspend practice are exempt from the CPD duty. Supervising ministry is Labour (Art. 4), not Health.

Poland

Marriage and Family Therapist (no such regulated profession)
Regulator: None (not a state-regulated or licensed profession in Poland)
CPDNOT REGULATED. Poland does not recognise or license a distinct 'marriage and family therapist' profession. Couple/family therapy is practised within psychotherapy training pathways (offered by psychologists, physicians and others who complete accredited psychotherapy training) and is not a separate statutory licence, so there is no dedicated CPD hour/cycle requirement for an MFT credential.
No specific live / interactive hour requirement

Board notes: No regulator, no licence, no CPD framework. Included only to record that the MFT group has no regulated Polish equivalent.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (no state regulation)
Regulator: None (no Polish state regulation; only the private international BACB credential)
CPDNOT REGULATED. Applied behavior analysis is not a state-regulated or licensed profession in Poland. Practitioners may voluntarily hold the international Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential from the U.S. Behavior Analyst Certification Board, which carries its own continuing-education requirements (32 CEUs per 2-year recertification cycle set by BACB), but this is a private international certification, not a Polish statutory licence or CPD mandate. No Polish regulator, register, or legally required CPD exists for behavior analysts.
No specific live / interactive hour requirement

Board notes: Any CPD obligations arise only from the private BACB certification (non-governmental, international), not from Polish law. Included only to record that the BCBA group has no regulated Polish equivalent.
