Per Anexa 11 (Norme privind formarea profesionala continua a asistentilor sociali), Art. 6(2), the minimum annual number of professional credits is 10. Credits accumulate over grade-dependent renewal cycles (Art. 9(2)): 1 year for debutant, 2 years for practicant, and a 3-year renewal cycle for the atestat at principal grade. Failing to accumulate required credits for 3 consecutive years can lead to suspension of the atestat until remedied (Art. 10).

Psychotherapy (psihoterapie) is a specialization/competence within the psychologist profession (Comisia de psihologie clinica si psihoterapie), subject to the same 10-credits/year CPD rule.
