Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) - not a distinct regulated profession in Finland
Regulator: None - not a separately regulated or licensed title
CPDThere is no standalone 'marriage and family therapist' licence or protected title in Finland. Family/couple therapy (perhe- ja pariterapia) is delivered under the regulated psychotherapist title (psykoterapeutti), where family therapy is one of the recognised psychotherapy orientations. Practitioners must therefore hold the protected psychotherapist title (see the Psychotherapist record). No separate CPD hour mandate applies.
