Slovenia CE Requirements by License

CPDSocial work is a regulated profession for delivering social-care services in Slovenia, but entry-gated rather than periodic-relicensing based. Under ZSV Art. 69 a 'strokovni delavec' (professional worker) must have completed a higher/university programme educating for social work (or a listed related field with relevant specialization and one year of experience) AND completed a traineeship (pripravništvo) plus the professional examination in social security (strokovni izpit) under Art. 71. Continuing professional education/training is a statutory DUTY for professional workers in public social-care institutions under ZSV Art. 73, and the Social Chamber of Slovenia — as a public-authorization holder under Art. 77 — plans and organizes this mandatory continuing education and training and sets its details. However, the ZSV mandates no fixed CPD hour/credit total and no periodic point-based re-licensing cycle for social workers; there is no renewable individual practising licence with a defined quota. The former compulsory Chamber-membership provision (Art. 76(1)) was repealed. Continuing education is thus obligatory in principle but not expressed as a quantified national credit requirement or renewal cycle.

CPDClinical psychologist is a legally regulated healthcare profession in Slovenia (protected specialist title). Entry path: a 2nd-Bologna-cycle (5-year/master's) psychology degree, then a healthcare traineeship (pripravništvo) concluded with a professional examination (strokovni izpit), then a four-year specialization in clinical psychology ending with a specialist examination (specialistični izpit), all governed by the Ministry of Health in cooperation with the ZKPS. Continuing professional development is a statutory RIGHT AND DUTY of health workers under ZZDej Art. 70 (stalno strokovno izpopolnjevanje), and the ZKPS organizes ongoing training (modules run at least every four years). However, NO fixed mandatory CPD credit/hour total and NO operational point-based periodic re-licensing cycle specific to clinical psychologists is published in accessible official sources: the ZKPS has no public authorization to license, its 2026 Statute contains no licence/credit-point scheme, and none of the Chamber's public materials reference licence renewal. The 7-year healthcare licence (licenca) framework introduced for health workers by the 2017 ZZDej-K amendment exists in law and is administered by the Ministry of Health for professions without their own licensing chamber, but its concrete application (defined credit quota + renewal) to clinical psychologists is not documented as operational as of July 2026.
