Board notes: SC Board of Social Work Examiners requires 40 contact hours per biennial renewal period (reporting Jan 1 - Dec 31 of even years; deadline Dec 31 even years), tracked in CE Broker. Reg Ch 110-1 mandates ONLY 1 hour of suicide assessment/treatment/management; there is NO ethics-hours requirement, NO clinical-hours minimum, and NO requirement that hours be provided by a trained social worker. Some CE vendors (e.g., onlinececredits) incorrectly assert a 5-hr ethics rule, a 20-hr clinical rule, and/or a '20 hours from a trained social worker' rule - none of these appear in the verbatim regulation text.
