- Ethics — 3 h3 hours ethics as defined by the Board each renewal year; rule does not restrict ethics to a live format. For dual-license holders, ethics may satisfy either specialty.
Home study: At least 8 of the 16 hours must be Category I (formally organized, face-to-face events such as workshops/courses; live interactive webinars where you can interact with the speaker qualify). The remaining up to 8 hours may be Category II (professional meetings) or Category III (individual/self-study/home study), so Category III self-study is effectively capped at 8 hours.
Board notes: OK State Board of Licensed Social Workers. Annual renewal; all licenses expire Dec 31. 16 hrs/specialty/year incl. 3 ethics; minimum 8 hrs must be Category I. Holders of an additional license must earn 6 additional Category I hours per extra license (22 total for two specialties); ethics can count for either specialty.

Home study: No cap. OAC 86:10-17-4.1 allows Board-approved home-study/technology-assisted distance learning; no in-person minimum and no numeric distance-learning limit in rule (all CE, including ethics, may be online/home study).

Board notes: Oklahoma licenses/certifies behavior analysts through OLBAB (Oklahoma Licensed Behavior Analyst Board), which requires BCBAs/BCaBAs to maintain active national BACB certification and fulfill all BACB requirements. Oklahoma sets no separate CE rule, so keeping BCBA active (32 CEUs/2-yr incl. 4 ethics; +3 supervision if supervising) satisfies the state requirement.
