Licensed Behavior Analyst (Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners) / BCBA
30hours / 2-year renewal cycle
No live / interactive hours required — all hours may be self-study
Mandated topics
  • Ethics — 4 h

Home study: No more than 25% of the required hours (about 7.5 of 30) may be obtained from self-study/correspondence courses (R4-26-409). No more than 50% from teaching.

Board notes: Arizona separately licenses behavior analysts under the Board of Psychologist Examiners with its own CE rule A.A.C. R4-26-409: minimum 30 hours per 2-year license period including at least 4 hours of ethics; no carryover; first period prorated (1.25 hrs/month). Arizona's rule does NOT itself require supervision CE. The national BACB standard is higher (32 CEUs/2yr including 4 ethics and, for those who supervise, 3 supervision CEUs), and a certificant must satisfy BACB separately; meeting BACB generally satisfies the Arizona 30-hour minimum.
