Home study: Up to 30 of the 40 hours may be home study (Mhp 402.04(a)(2)). At least 30 hours must be Category A and no more than 10 hours may be Category B (Mhp 402.01(b),(e)). Category A includes seminars/workshops/live interactive webinars, home study, coursework, and publications.
Board notes: Governed by NH Board of Mental Health Practice under Mhp 402.01 (40 hrs/2 yr). Biennial renewal. Ethics and suicide prevention must be Category A but the rules do NOT require any hours be live/synchronous/in-person, so live-interactive required = 0. Separately, Mhp 403.01 requires 40 hours of professional collaboration every 2 years (attestation). Board-approved supervisors must add 6 CE hours in clinical supervision. Board notes: NH Board of Psychologists, Psyc 402.02 (40 hrs biennially). Ethics is the only mandated subject (no suicide-prevention mandate for psychologists), and the 6 ethics hours must be Category A AND delivered in a live and interactive format. This makes live-interactive required = 6, the key difference from the mental-health-practice licenses.

Home study: No state cap. BACB permits recorded/online ACE-provider CEUs broadly; there is no live/in-person minimum under the BACB standard.
Board notes: New Hampshire does not maintain a separate behavior-analyst license or board with its own CE rule, so CE for behavior analysts is governed solely by the national BACB standard: 32 CEUs every 2 years including 4 ethics and, for supervisors, 3 supervision CEUs. Confirm NH licensure status directly with OPLC, as state behavior-analyst licensing laws continue to evolve.
