Psicólogo General Sanitario

Psicólogo General Sanitario (PGS)
Regulator: Ministerio de Sanidad (health-profession regulation) and the Colegios Oficiales de la Psicología / Consejo General de la Psicología de España (COP); continuing-education activities accredited by the Comisión de Formación Continuada de las Profesiones Sanitarias del Sistema Nacional de Salud
CPDNo statutory periodic CPD hour mandate for relicensing or renewal. The Psicólogo General Sanitario is a regulated health profession (created by Ley 5/2011 and Ley 33/2011); to practice, holders must possess the Máster en Psicología General Sanitaria and be registered (colegiado) with a Colegio Oficial de la Psicología, but colegiación does not carry a fixed number of renewal CPD hours. Continuing professional development in Spain is voluntary and accreditation-based: activities are accredited by the Comisión de Formación Continuada de las Profesiones Sanitarias del SNS (autonomous-community and national commissions), which award créditos used for career progression (carrera/desarrollo profesional continuo under Ley 44/2003, LOPS), employment merit and the COP/EuroPsy voluntary accreditations — not as a hard relicensing threshold. Autonomous-community carrera-profesional schemes and voluntary EuroPsy renewal (roughly every 7 years, evidence of ongoing practice/CPD) may impose CPD-style expectations, but there is no nationwide legal periodic hour requirement to keep the PGS title.
No specific live / interactive hour requirement

Home study: Not applicable - no statutory CPD hour requirement; accredited online (formación online para colegiados, FOCAD) and in-person activities both earn créditos with no national cap

Board notes: Regulated health profession under Spanish law but CPD is not a statutory relicensing condition. Créditos de formación continuada are voluntary and matter chiefly for carrera profesional (public-employment career grades set by each Comunidad Autónoma), competitive merit scoring, and voluntary COP/CNAP/EuroPsy accreditations. Colegiación (professional-college registration) is mandatory to practise; membership is maintained by dues, not by completing CPD hours. Distinct from the specialist title Psicólogo Especialista en Psicología Clínica (obtained via the PIR residency).

Psicólogo Especialista en Psicología Clínica

Psicólogo Especialista en Psicología Clínica (PEPC)
Regulator: Ministerio de Sanidad (specialist health title under Ley 44/2003, LOPS; residency via PIR) and the Colegios Oficiales de la Psicología / Consejo General de la Psicología de España (COP); CE activities accredited by the Comisión de Formación Continuada de las Profesiones Sanitarias del SNS
CPDNo statutory periodic CPD hour mandate for relicensing or renewal. The Psicólogo Especialista en Psicología Clínica is the official specialist health title (obtained through the PIR residency and regulated by Ley 44/2003, Ley de Ordenación de las Profesiones Sanitarias). The title, once granted, does not expire and there is no fixed national CPD hour requirement to retain it. Continuing education (formación continuada / desarrollo profesional continuo) is voluntary and accreditation-based through the Comisión de Formación Continuada de las Profesiones Sanitarias del SNS, whose créditos feed into carrera profesional grades, job-competition merit and voluntary professional accreditations rather than a hard relicensing threshold.
No specific live / interactive hour requirement

Home study: Not applicable - no statutory CPD hour requirement; both accredited online and in-person activities earn créditos with no national cap

Board notes: Regulated specialist health title under LOPS (Ley 44/2003). CPD is not a legal condition of maintaining the title. Article 33-36 LOPS frames desarrollo profesional continuo and carrera profesional as a voluntary recognition/career system administered largely by the autonomous communities, not a mandatory periodic hour count. Colegiación is required to practise clinically in most regions; it is maintained by membership, not CPD hours.
