What else should Psychologist renewals know in Slovakia?
Continuing education (sustavne vzdelavanie) is a statutory duty under Section 42 of Act No. 578/2004 Z.z. on health care providers and health workers; assessment criteria are set by Ministry of Health Regulation (Vyhlaska) No. 74/2019 Z.z. (effective 15 March 2019). Psychology is a regulated healthcare profession; a person must be registered with the Slovak Chamber of Psychologists to practice as a healthcare psychologist. The 5-year evaluation cycle runs from the date of registration; suspended/cancelled registration time does not count. Clinical psychology (klinicka psychologia) is a specialization within this healthcare-psychologist framework and is subject to the same 50-credit/5-year rule. Falling below 50 credits yields a 'nesplnil' (not met) result and triggers procedures under Section 42. Evaluation fee 10 EUR per cycle (free for chamber members).
