Regulator: Not regulated — Nunavut has no social work registration body or profession-specific legislation
CPDSocial work is not a regulated profession in Nunavut. Nunavut has no Social Work Profession Act (the Northwest Territories' Social Work Profession Act was enacted in 2012, after the 1999 division, and does not apply to Nunavut), no registrar, and no public register for social workers. Consequently no territorial continuing-education or continuing-competence requirement is set. Nunavut social workers may voluntarily belong to the Association of Social Workers in Northern Canada (ASWNC), a voluntary association and not a statutory regulator.

Regulator: No active psychology regulator. Nunavut is not a member of the Association of Canadian Psychology Regulatory Organizations (ACPRO) and has no active psychology licensing body or registrar administering the profession
CPDPsychology is not actively regulated in Nunavut. Unlike Yukon and the Northwest Territories, Nunavut has no psychology regulatory organization — it is not among ACPRO's 12 provincial/territorial psychology regulators (July 2026). A legacy Psychologists Act inherited from the pre-1999 Northwest Territories may remain on Nunavut's statute books, but there is no active registrar or continuing-competence program in operation, and no territorial continuing-education requirement is set. Registration status is best described as dormant/not administered.
