What else should Counsellor renewals know in Croatia?
Requirement expressed in points (bodovi), not clock hours. Art. 14 of the HKPT Rulebook: the competence-verification period is 5 years, within which an authorized psychotherapist or authorized counseling therapist must collect 150 points of professional development. The 5-year period runs from the date the right to practice psychotherapy is granted / the license (dopusnica) is acquired, and continues from the expiry of the prior 5-year period. Evidence must be submitted to the Chamber no later than 30 days before the period ends (the Chamber's guidance page states 3 months). Members who fail to collect the minimum points within the 5 years can obtain renewal of the dopusnica only after earning the missing points. Professional activity on Chamber committees is valued at 10 points/year and on the Managing Board at 15 points/year. The Chamber licenses two protected titles under one identical CPD regime: ovlašteni psihoterapeut (psychotherapist) and ovlašteni savjetodavni terapeut (counseling therapist).
