Board notes: Yukon's Psychology Regulation (O.I.C. 2025/0010) under the Health Professions Act came into force February 1, 2025. Section 6(1) requires full and provisional registrants to complete 75 hours of continuing competency activities over every three registration years. The registration year runs February 1 to January 31; certificates are renewed annually (renewal by December 31) and proof of continuing competency certifications is required at renewal except for inactive registrants. Applicants must also hold professional liability insurance of at least $3,000,000, pass a jurisprudence examination, and complete Yukon First Nations 101. Psychology is administered directly by a government Registrar rather than a self-regulating college.
