Mississippi Board of Examiners for Social Workers & MFTs (MS Admin Code Title 30, Part 1902, Rule 4.1). Forty (40) approved CE hours per renewal period, of which a minimum of 20 must be in-person learning and no more than 20 may be remote/distance learning (live interactive webinars qualify as in-person). Biennial renewal (LMSW/LCSW Apr 30, renewal window Mar 1-Apr 30; LSW Sep 30, window Aug 1-Sep 30). Unused CE hours completed within the 3 years prior to the current expiration date may be carried over from one renewal to the next, EXCEPT that ethics and cultural diversity hours may not be carried over (Rule 4.1.C.4). Board-approved supervisors must complete an initial 16 hours of supervision-specific training plus 2 additional supervision hours every renewal period.
