Board notes: Under the current rule (IDAPA 24.15.01.100.07, effective 7-1-24), the ONLY mandated CE is 6 hours ethics + 3 hours boundaries + 3 hours suicide assessment/intervention (12 hours total) in each 24-month period preceding renewal; the former 40-hour aggregate total was eliminated. Licensees must also comply with the CE/competence sections of their applicable Code of Ethics. Same CE rule applies to LPC, LCPC, LMFT and AMFT. No live/in-person requirement.
