Step-by-step licensure pathways in Nevada.
Nevada licenses all six behavioral-health professions at the state level, with two distinctive structures. Counseling and marriage & family therapy share one board (the Board of Examiners for MFTs and CPCs) under NRS 641A. Addiction counseling has its own board that also covers problem GAMBLING counseling — a substance-use ladder (CADC-Intern, CADC, LADC, LCADC) runs alongside a problem-gambling ladder (CPGC-Intern, CPGC). Nevada state-licenses behavior analysts under NRS 641D, layering its own license and a state Jurisprudence Exam on top of BACB certification (LBA, LaBA, and a registered RBT tier). Nevada psychology and several counseling/addiction tiers also use the NCMHCE, and Nevada participates in PSYPACT for telepsychology.
