Ann Russo, LCSW

Founder and Clinical Director of AMR Therapy

Ann is a licensed therapist, advocate, and founder of AMR Therapy—a small group practice dedicated to providing mental health care for the LGBTQ+ community, people of color, and individuals in non-traditional relationships. With a unique background in both Theological Studies and Social Work, Ann combines deep compassion with a nuanced understanding of the intersections between sexuality, spirituality, and mental health. Ann is also working on her forthcoming book, currently in contract with PESI, which introduces the Religious Trauma Treatment Model (RTTM). This innovative framework equips mental health professionals with tools to help clients heal from the psychological and spiritual wounds of high-control religious systems, reclaiming autonomy, self-worth, and meaning.

Dr. Alisa B. Bahl

Alisa is a clinical psychologist and associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia, specializing in child and adolescent psychology. She’s affiliated with UVA Children’s Hospital and UVA Medical Center, where she focuses on neurodevelopmental and behavioral pediatrics. Dr. Bahl was recently awarded an $80,000 grant from The Jefferson Trust to expand access to Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, an evidence-based approach to supporting young children with behavioral challenges. Through her work, she’s helping train the next generation of therapists while empowering parents to build stronger, more connected relationships with their children.
